Authentic Stories from Diners
This is a great restaurant! The food is fantastic, the staff are wonderful and the building is stunning. They provide a tasting menu with definite Spanish influence. This is some of the best food I've tasted anywhere in the world. The dishes are well thought out, combining flavours and freshness in a way the delights tge palette without making you full. The wine parings provides a glass for every two courses ensuring you can completely appreciate every course. The staff were lovely. The were efficient, noticing any needs or reason to delay, while being friendly and informative about the food, the restaurant and the ethos of the chef patron. The evening started with a tour of the ground floor with particular attention to the retained original features and the wine store. Then upstairs to the elegantly understated main restaurant with white predominating other than the Monet'esk line drawings on the wall. Food came at a leisurely pace, which suited the quality and the need to savour both the food and the accompanying wine. Various 'additional' options were well explained at the start. One of our party opted for the cheese in place of desert. My feeling is they missed out. There is a bar on the premises but we didn't visit it, just saw it from the windows in the bathroom. Overall a wonderful meal in elegant surroundings and one I look forward to going back to after sufficient time for the menu to change - or not!
Visiting a restaurant like this once is only a glimpse at that place in that year and that point of time. Nothing is stagnant, and going back always let you witness a lot more. Second visit after 4 years and, again, what a wonderful experience!
My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. The meal and dining experience were exceptional, from start to finish. It’s the highest quality of food and for an incredible value for money. We will be back soon Salita!
The meals were both exciting and excellent. I truly enjoyed diving into this journey of novel tastes. ❤️ I had my dinner on the terrace, which was a lovely setting. However, one aspect I found a bit puzzling was the requirement for terrace guests to use the outdoor restroom, which had low lighting and bugs and spiders on the walls. Access to the more comfortable indoor restrooms was only possible upon special request and under staff supervision. I was escorted there, waited for, and then accompanied back to my table. Meanwhile, guests dining inside could use those facilities freely. Otherwise lovely experience, very thankful.
The food is rich, creative, and beautifully presented. Naturally, I had my favorites among the dishes, but overall, it was an amazing experience. What makes La Salita stand out is that there’s a story behind every meal—it’s not just dining, it’s a journey. One thing I really appreciated were the well-timed breaks between courses. It gives you the chance to digest, relax, and truly savor each part of the menu. The staff were incredibly quick and friendly, adding to the charm of the evening. A special mention goes to the sommelier, who was absolutely fantastic and made our experience even more memorable. Whether it’s a romantic date or an evening out with close friends, I can only recommend La Salita. It’s not just dinner—it’s an experience.
