Authentic Stories from Diners
Wow!!! Go here! Order anything!!! Order Everything! Let's talk food first. We met some friends here and had a bit of everything. The melted cheese with oregano was delicious. The empanadas were fluffy and fantastic. The salad was crisp, fresh, and well portioned. The grilled vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned with a hint of char. The creole sausage had just a little spice and a whole lot of flavor. In fact, my wife, a New Orleans native, said we need order some to go soon because it's the first sausage she has found here that was good enough for her to use in her gumbo or red beans and rice. The sausage came with a chimichurri that I could have eaten on everything! The winner of the night though? The ribeye!!! I've had many different cuts of beef at many different places in Valencia and this one was as good or better than any high-end steakhouse I've had in the US. I'm not an "expert", but I grew up on a cattle ranch in Texas and the Argentinian steak here far exceeded my expectations. Atmosphere: This place is bustling with a mix of locals and tourists. It's a clean and welcoming environment where the noise level is constant, but by no means overwhelming. We chose to sit inside due to weather, but their terrace is a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoor dining that is a pillar of Valencian culture. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. He also brought some lovely meatballs for us to try. Overall, a wonderful evening out. My only regret is that I didn't get pictures of the other dishes including the steak, but that's OK. Now I have an excuse to go back (not that I needed one). Update: We returned and got a picture of the steak (added here). We also tried the Morcilla which was excellent. We had the ribeye, but friends ordered the filet. Both were excellent, but I think the filet has stolen my heart now.
I have to admit that I was very satisfied with this restaurant. The location is excellent, as is the service. We chose the tasting menu and the house red wine, which is unlimited and included in the price. You have multiple drink options included.🍷 We took the tasting menu. The sausage was tasty, although it did fall apart a bit, the sauce served with it, however, was excellent. The empanadas were really good, one had meat and the other spinach. The cheese was flavorful, though slightly difficult to serve from the dish, which was my only minor complaint. The meat was delicious, and the potatoes were outstanding. Personally, I don’t feel the chicken fits perfectly into this platter, but it is still a good option for those who prefer it over pork. For dessert, we had a pancake with caramel and a banana cake, simple and tasty. The banana cake was my favorite, but the ice cream served with the dessert was missing flavour. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience and would definitely come back to try more dishes. We had a reservation, but you might also get lucky if you decide to stop by spontaneously. I would give it a solid 8/10 and would certainly recommend a visit. 😊
We had a fantastic experience here, we tried the tasting menu, which was excellent value. The drinks being included was very good when you are eating a lot of meat. We got through a few bottles of water & a red house wine, which was delicious. Wish we had room for more as there was a great selection! (Warning: the tasting menu is very filling but we had a break before dessert which allowed us to squeeze it in our tummies 😂) The staff were all very friendly and informative, providing efficient service in a well designed setting that had a good atmosphere. Shoutout to our waiter Juan in particular, he did a great job!
Food was excellent and at a great price for what you receive. Ambiance inside is okay, nothing special, would have loved to sit outside but we didn’t reserve. We especially appreciated the 5-star service by LUCILA - she’s attentive and accommodating to every need and special request.
Very nice place with friendly and good service. Prices were great too. I wish I could give 3.5 or 4 stars to the food. We took a mixed grill for two persons. Very good in the beginning but it was served on a sort of grill. Next time we’ll take all the meat from the grill because after a couple of minutes the meat became hard too chew. In the beginning the cuisson was perfect! Other two plates were single meat and perfect. Chicken was for me the best.
